What happened to JorrParivar?
India's first community driven NFT project. Launched 8 August 2021. 22 characters I drew myself. 1,254 tokens. One IRL event with NFT tickets. Then two quiet years. This page is the full answer, block by block, with the numbers, the wins, the mistakes, and what I lost.
Dubai, still carrying JorrParivar
Every block is a real date.
Thirteen blocks, from the first purchase in April 2021 to today. Read them top to bottom. Each one carries its date, what happened, what it cost, and a straight verdict.
We did not stop building. The 22 are alive.
Ten short episodes made this year. JorrToons, a kids series set in a village called Dilpur, teaching the same values the 22 characters were drawn for. Swipe through them. This is what the IP is doing while the token side waits for India.
You Can Lose And Still Love The Party
losing a race and dancing anyway. that is a superpower most adults never learn.
Every episode: 9:16, under 30 seconds, no dialogue, one original song, and Happy Independent Billee crossing the screen once with good luck right behind her. The animals are the JorrParivar characters, by name.
A business, not a charity. Here is the loop that broke.
Emotion is fine. Now the part a business owner has to say out loud.
JorrParivar is not a charity project. It is an NFT project, which means it is a business. A business needs cash flow. JorrParivar is 100% bootstrapped, so the cash has to come from the business itself, not from my pocket forever.
There are only two ways it can earn. One: make products on the 22 IPs, physical or digital, and sell them. Two: royalties. Every time a JorrParivar NFT is resold, 10% comes back to the project. That second one is the whole point of putting it on a blockchain. If it was only products, we would never have minted NFTs. It would be a normal online shop.
So everything we build has to raise the collectible value of the NFTs. And that value only means something if people can buy and sell them. In India today they cannot, not the normal way. After the 30% tax came in, the three big exchanges, CoinDCX, WazirX and CoinSwitch Kuber, switched off sending ETH to a wallet like MetaMask. No ETH in a wallet means no NFT. And the person who could buy asks a fair question: why pay 30% tax on a small gain?
Every utility promised at launch was delivered: three years of calls, the meetups, the event. One more conference was planned and could not happen, for the same reason.
That leaves the loop on the right. If people cannot buy, collectors cannot sell. If collectors cannot sell, no royalty comes in. If no royalty comes in, the business cannot fund the IP. If I pour my own money in anyway, that is charity, and charity cannot run forever.
We tried everything on the education side. Free guides, hundreds of videos, a partnership with CoinDCX on YouTube. Most of India still thinks blockchain means buying and selling Bitcoin. That is the gap. Until India writes clear rules, a business owner cannot run this professionally. That is why it is halted, not stopped. The intention is 100% the same.
One blocked link stops the whole loop. Everything else was built and is waiting.
What went right, what went wrong, and the in between.
Went right 6
- The intention. This was built to be a community around values, from day one. Not a trading chip.
- The delivery. Calls, films, music, toons, a box, a book, a mug. Most of it was never in the contract.
- The event. India's first NFT ticketed IRL event, 300 plus people, holders paid zero gas.
- No pumping. I never told anyone to buy for price. I told people to hold for the utility.
- The IPs are real. Registered with the Indian government, ® marks granted on the first batch in 2023.
- Transparency. Every change was written down in public, on Medium and Discord, with the date.
Went wrong 5
- I promised too much, too early. A perks portal, a website, dinners, weekly calls, physical products in 2024. Some got paused, some got swapped.
- The market broke under us. From 2022 a normal Indian could not easily buy ETH and move it to a wallet. New holders could not come in.
- Money went into experiences, not runway. All of it my own savings. The event alone cost more than I have ever said out loud.
- One founder carried everything. When my life got heavy in 2023, the project slowed with me.
- Two silent years. No public note since late 2023. This page is me fixing that.
In between 3
- Utility swaps. Dinners became 12 extra one on one calls. Better value, but not what was first written.
- Calls became monthly for everyone. Fewer questions, one bigger room. Silver holders had a fair reason to feel the gap.
- Price. Floor is about $12 today. I never sold price, but I know what people paid.
What it cost me. The parts I can show.
Only numbers I have written down before, or can stand behind today. Where I never itemised, it says so.

Is JorrParivar continuing?
Halted. Not abandoned. Not sold.
The NFT side is on hold. Nothing new is being built there right now and nothing new is being sold. I will not promise a date, because I promised dates before and the market did not let me keep some of them.
- ✓The 22 characters are mine, registered, and alive in new work. They became a kids series in 2026.
- ✓The contract stays on Ethereum. Your token stays yours. The record of everything delivered stays on chain.
- ✓If India brings clear rules for consumer blockchain, I pick this back up first. The idea was never wrong. The timing and the country were.
- ✓My net loss on this is ₹50 lakh. 100% from my own pocket, my hard earned savings. No investor, no fund, no appreciated asset. Nobody else carried that. I am telling you so you know where I stand.
